10 Matzot-Free Breakfasts Ideas {to enjoy during Pesah and All Year Round}

Pesah starts in a few days (Yay!) and that means you need to get creative in the kitchen. Seven days without the common cereals for breakfast is not an easy take for many (we also struggle to think out of the box sometimes), or maybe you are just one of those that are tired of eating masoth (or one of its cousins: farfel, meal, etc) for ALL-N-EVERY meal. We have good news! Try these 10 masoth-free simple breakfast ideas that go beyond Passover Granola and Passover Toasts


1. Almond Meal Porridge with Berries 

 

 

This almond flour porridge is superb because it is paleo, low carb, and the recipe has dairy-free options as well. I have made this with almond meal (skin-on ground almonds) as well and without the egg (just have to adjust the liquid with more coconut milk or another dairy-free milk of choice)If for any reason you want a nut-free porridge, try this coconut flour porridge or this quinoa porridge instead.

2. North-African Style Poached Eggs in Spicy Tomato Sauce

 
I cannot get enough from this shashukah recipe. It is hearty and super delicious. If you don’t like spicy things you can just leave the chili pepper out and it will be just fine (even though technically won’t be “shashukah” anymore, but still you will have delicious poached eggs. Yum!) You can eat this with potatoes or sweet potatoes in any variety (roasted, baked, pancakes or waffles.
